I want to do RAID & SATA, but my mobo won't support either. Should I wait till I upgrade my mobo or just get a cheap SATA/RAID controller?

And also, what drives are recommended?

Seagate NCQ Sata II's are great! I love mine Smile

Personally I'd wait to get the new system instead of a controller.

Personally I wouldn't get a cheap controller... Grin

Other than that the decision is yours.

Yeah, controllers worth anything aren't cheap... especially RAID controllers... I 'meant' to be a new Promise SATA RAID controller, but somehow but a standard controller, and even that was $65.

Best bet is to get it on the motherboard. I have never had any problems with those, and the new NF4 based ones are pretty cool the way it lets you convert arrays on the fly, and points to exactly what drive / header may have failed.
