Hi, I would like to get some feedback on what looks to be like the rig I will be building in the near future. Please let me know if there is a product better than what I have listed. Price could be an issue, not looking to go too expensive. Thanks

CPU
Mobo
Graphics Card
PSU
HDD
I already have 2 sticks of 512mb pc3200 ram that I do not need to upgrade.
Also, I'm looking for a good ATX Full-Tower for around $100 or so, please post any suggestions

Thanks again.

Motherboard is SLI capable, get a SLI capable video card. Like the BFG 6600GT OC

And try to go with Seagate HD's. 5 year warranty, and a bit faster than WD.

Consider going with 2 HD's in Raid layout if you want to push every little bit you can.

I would get the newer core A64 Venice .

I would also think about getting a PSU that supports active PFC. HERE is a quick over view of PFC.

I also agree with Hellfire... get a Seagate. You'll be much happier in the long run. And if you can afford it running a RAID set up is always better, but it's more expensive of course.

Lastly.... Hellfire... BAD BAD Hellfire.. That Video card he's getting IS capable of SLI (Read the Detailed Specifications). So it's off to the whipping room for you. Grin

Ok, My bad. I looked at the short description of it, didn't say SLI, so just moved on LOL Ok, so it's a good card.

Thanks for the feedback

Looks like this HDD , raid would be nice, but i dont want to get too expensive.
This PSU , I was talking to a friend and he said Active was better or so he thought?, can someone explain the whole PFC thing for me. It's all new to me. Even after i read that link from EvilCheese.

I think I found 2 cases, They are Mid-Tower, but still pretty big.
Thermaltake Tsunami
Thermaltake Soprano
Leaning more towards the soprano, because its cheaper Grin

I love the Thermaltake Shark case, but might be a bit more money than you want.

The two links that you posted are the same case here is the Soprano case:

Newegg.com

Also here are a few reviews about the case

Review 2

Review 3

Just thought a few reviews would help, I know they are from other websites but i did put the BigBruin first.

I am also looking at the case for my build. Are you looking at the case with the PSU or without??

I just got a new system, I would recommend the parts I purchased: Venice 3200+, Antec Sonata II (includes 450W PSU), 2xWD1600JS (160GB SATA-II RAID0), BFG 6600GT OC 128MB PCIe... however it's pretty close to your setup already, just check your budget, I dunno if it will make that much of a difference...
