Congrats to both of you! I was "kinda-sorta" in that same position (dating a girl with a son from a previous relationship) and had a blast with the kid. Accepting the child as my own (not in a biological, but in a personal way) did make me nervous at the beginning, but as I spent more time with him, the more I enjoyed and looked forward to putting my grain of sand in his life. Too bad the relationship never prospered. Haven't seen him in a few months and I miss the little ruffian 
Although I'm fairly new here in the forum, I'm really happy for the both of you! And most of all, for the kids. Wish I was in your position
