sapphire has a really good rma policy...usually its 30 day with newegg but sapphire has a deal with newegg to extend that to 2 years...and you get money back...my 9800 pro is freakin out so i think i will throw the 200 to a pcie graphics card . _________________ Ignore this^^
I've had a RMA with AMD, WD and MSI in the past month.
Each one of the offered to send me a new item once they recived the one from me. I needed it faster, they required a CC to pre-charge it. Wasn't actually charged the amount, unless I didn't return the item within a set period. These are larger companies, could just be how they handle their RMA's to ensure something is returned.
The SSN is wierd though.
I asked if they could do it the "I will ship the dead drive back and you can inspect it and ship me a replacement." They said that is not their policy it is done by charging my credit card.

Yea, I agree NT... it's not an acceptable practice. Why should you have to have all the risk and exposure? Seems they don't understand customer service.
