im setting up a customers laptop that came in w/ a problem... it wasin here last night and someone else was working on it and they said that it was a software issue
when i turn it it goes directly to the windows setup screens... i can get past the first one that says welcome (lol) but when im naming the computer on the second screen (where i can skip certain screens) no matter what I click whether it be skip or next the computer stalls.... the hour glass just pops up and thats where it site from there....
its a toshiba laptop and i have the restore disk however...! i cant boot from it... i do the directions that are on the cd for it doesnt work... i go into the bios to change boot order... but heres a fun part... when i go into the bios i cannot move the cursor up and down or hit enter lol.... all i can do is go in them then reoot the computer since i cant move in there at all! annoying, yes. so i try to go into safe mode. nope! i have all the options boot last known, safe mode and so on. same deal in there, all I can do is move the cursor up and down... I cannot actually hit enter or anything... just go up and down...
so im stumped... is the hdd going bad or is it another hardware issue of some sort??
HELP! im at work and will try to check this pretty often _________________
