I was checking for this online shop when i saw for the first time a system blower.
For what i been searching it looks just like a exhaust fan in box connected to a pci slot. Is there any kind of difference between a system blower and a exhaust fan? Are they better than the normal fans?
I been trying unsuccessfully to find a review of one, if anyone knows any that would also help.

By the way, the only ones i actually know are the "Akasa system blower" in different colours. They doesn't seem very popular as it really is the only company that i found selling them.

Doesn't look very expensive neither and if they really work i was thing to get one.

They just allow you to add more fans to a case. I have found they are generally less effective than a normal fan. But they can do things like take heat away directly from add-in cards (video cards, etc..)

Antec was suppose to release a year 2005 model that takes 2 slots, and is an intake instead of an exhaust blower.

I don't think I would buy one of those single slot exhaust versions of a blower, because if you look at how little space they have for exhausting the air, I doubt they are very effective.

I'm waiting to here more about the antec version myself.

And what about the noise levels? If they don't produce a lot of noise another fan can't hurt, right?

Noise level depends on the same thing a normal fan does, so they all vary.

I have heard the pci blowers dont really help much...i would reccomend cutting a hole right next to your pci slots in your side panel.

I just added an 80mm Antec case fan to the only spot available for exhaust in my case. MB temp down about 8C and CPU temp down about 5C. Not bad for an $8 investment.
Weird thing is, I was gonna buy a Mad Dog 90mm but they don't come with mounting screws Confused , so I had to go with the Antec, which does, and also has a blue light (which I could do without Rolling Eyes )

I looked at the PCI fans too, but decided the 80mm case fan would generate more airflow. Plus....why give up a PCI slot for a fan?

This is in preparation for the grueling heat about to descend upon us poor souls here in South Florida.
