I've been lucky enough in my carpeted house and have never had an issue. It's risky... but walking on carpet with socks on carpet with va ideo card in one hand and a harddisk in the other is fun...
Grounding is a pain but for a $5.00 investment to protect your electronics you can't go wrong. _________________ - Jim |

A humidifyer would help.
