I have overcklocked my 6600 (300/500) to 570/700 and it seams to be stable: after a couple of hour playing HL2 everything is OK. 3DMark 2005 after a few hour also didn't show any errors. [The 6600's cooler and the memory chips were warm but the videocard has decent cooling (I have a Pixelview 6600 Ultimate)]. What software should I use to confirm that I have a stable overclock and that there will be no glitches?
I've heard good things bout ATITool... it detects artifacts you can't even see, so apparently it's the best utility to check for video stability. The site is down as of 7:15am, so check later during the day... or maybe try MajorGeeks?
