I just bought a new board, a Gigabyte K8N Ultra SLI, but when i booted i looked in the bios and the only thing close to overclocking ma ram was voltage.

I do know theres no Ratios of CPU to DRAM but its seems to me that if i overclock my cpu in linear mode (easy tune 5) it will also overclock my ram, but the thing happens to be that i don't want to overclock my cpu at the same time.

The only other thing which i could get around was changing the dHTT up and lowering the muliplier? whould that somehow work? but the thing is i have a AMD 64 3000+, runs at stock 1.8ghz, the multipliers are as listed

x4,x5,x6,x7,x8,x9
The dHtt max is 400 and min of 200

If anyone knows anything that will help give us a shout.

Try to look for it in the advanced options, i'm not quite sure if we have the same motherboard (mine is a GA-K8NXP-SLi ), but try to unlock the hidden options by pressing "Ctrl+F1" in the main bios menu.
Anyway read your motherboard manual, should be something about that in there.

Yep i have tried that, the only thing i could get close to doign it is...

Set Ratio to x4
Raise the CPU Freq 1 every time, and the CPU Freq is also overclocking the chip

at max 250 cpu freq.

200 * 4 = 800mhz Clock CPU Speed
250 * 4 = 1000mhz Clock CPU Speed

But this still doesn't help in the realtime test as i Don't want to overclock my CPU or other componets,i am about to give gigabyte a ring.
