Newegg is losing business big time.

I used to never go anywhere but the egg, but the last 2k I spent has been going to Monarch Computers. 90% of the time they have free shipping, and I finally don't pay taxes.

They don't have quite the selection, and some things are strangely over priced by two to one (check floppy drives).

mmh, I just recently discover newegg. Maybe I would have to check out monarch. I like newegg's review though. Plus, I think it carries a lot of stuffs.

Yeah I know this post is out of date, but I just found it. The 99 cent shipping was a joke for larger items. I watch newegg like a hawk, all the cases and crt monitors I saw went up almost exactly the difference of the cheaper shipping. A case I was watching was shipping for $15, now the case was $14 more expensive during this deal. Kinda pissed me off, thats business though, I suppose.

As for the finally not paying taxes bit, I'm not sure where you live, but in Missouri I don't pay tax on Newegg items. HOWEVER for any online spending that totals over $2k for the year, I'm required by law to mail a check to Jefferson city for the amount those items would be taxed locally. Assuming it wasn't already taxed, like newegg. Might wanna look into that incase of an audit, if your purchasing for a business Wink
