Pizza Hut pizza
What do we all do when we are feeling lazy and hungry at the same time? We order pizza! This particular lazy hungry time I chose Pizza Hut.
First of all I started my ordering process on-line keeping with the lazy theme. No need to look for the phone book , make the call, or dig out the cash. This can all be done on-line . I however decided to only locate my nearest Pizza Hut and make the call for a more personalized experience. So on with my experience...
The Net:
www.pizzahut.com ... It's that simple. First thing I looked for were printable coupons. They were very easy to locate since the site is well laid out. You have your choice of building a coupon or getting coupons for your local area. Building a coupon works great if you are ordering for a large crowd , if not go for the regular coupons. I selected the "$9.99 Medium Any Way You Want" coupon. That was a little misleading thou because you only got up to 3 toppings. Plus if you wanted a Supreme or any of their Lovers Line pizzas you paid an extra $1. Note ... always read the fine print.
Also available on-line is the nutritional information. Since I was feeling lazy I didn't bother to read it but have included it for your general amusement .
The Call:
I spoke with a very nice lady named Sherry who had just started her shift for the day. There was a bit of confusion with the coupon I had just printed but she quickly got assistance. I ordered the medium hand tossed pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms (my usual) and a 2 Liter of Diet Pepsi. She gave me my total of $13.13 , told me it would be 30 minutes, and thanked me for my order. I was impressed with the phone call since it was all done in only 3 minutes. I hang up ... 30 minute clock is ticking ... It's 4:04pm.
The Delivery:
4:28pm! Six minutes early. Sounds great till the delivery guy gets to my door. Once again (4th time) the wrong soda is brought. They brought me REGULAR Pepsi instead of Diet. I asked why this keeps happening especially since he's always the same deliverer. He says "Don't shoot the messenger, I only bring what they give me". I couldn't argue with the guy , not sure he would have understood. I pay him $16 including tip , he tells me he'll be right back with the correct soda ... and he was. By 4:36pm I had what I ordered 32 minutes before. Delivery time turns out to be average.
The Meal:
Perfect cuts, great aroma, just the right temp, toppings spread evenly on pizza .... what more could you ask for from a pizza? Nothing! I pigged out on 2 1/2 slices with my pet rats sharing the other 1/2 slice. With 5 slices left I know what I'm having for breakfast and lunch tomorrow ... Hope I don't get company so I don't have to share ! And now for your viewing pleasure ... Dinner!
The Conclusion:
Pizza Hut pizza is great along with their ordering process. However the delivery service could use a little tweaking. Possibly have the drivers take a little ownership of their job ... verify orders they are delivering. I've been a regular customer and will remain a regular customer ... or was that Diet??? |
