Looking at getting two new SATA drives for my AMD 64, 3200 and putting them into a RAID 0 configuration.

Go for the Seagate... it supports NCQ and has a 5 yr warranty.

That's why I had to ask. The 5 yr warranty and the NCQ.

Now to see if I can find it any cheaper and get away from Newegg Smile

I have 2x 120 Gig Seagate Sata drives in my box. I've had them for over six months, used to be in raid 0, but now stand alone. I've suffered from no problems what so ever, I'd say their quiet... but I can't hear anything over a 92mm Tornado. But I couldn't hear them before the tornado either.

I seem to find myself only buying Seagates lately. Never an issue, good warranty, and NCQ... no question, Seagate all teh way.

If I'm not mistaken.....

Seagate= GOOD
Hitachi=IBM=BAD

Just my opinion.
(Yeah, I'm one of the thousands that got burned on the IBM DEATHSTAR drives x2)

Yea, Hitachi bought IBM's Drive division. And I've got a pair of their 160GB SATA drives that run great, and I've had more luck with IBM drives than just about any other....

The one other would be.... Seagate. Grin
