I saw these for $10, and wonder what you'd actually do with them?

Basically a think client let's you boot up to either a single application or a web browser to allow you to connect to a remote system where all programs & applications are run. The thin client has very little memory and or HDD space so no work is done locally.

Basically think of the old Mainframe days with dumb terminals.

Think 'dumb terminal' and you've got the concept of a thin client PC.

if your main machine is fast enough, it would be a way to have remote terminals around the house, say the kitchen, garage, bedroom. etc' thogh at the current price of cheap PCs you won't save much over a fully functional wal-mart special. That's why they're so cheap.
