on the sentence Martha Stewert was handed today? 5 months in prison and I think a year probation? Anyone else but me think she got off too easy???? _________________ I am the Spam Queen...

No, I think they wasted our F'ing tax dollars on a worthless victory. She lied a little to cover her butt... that's all she did. That's what she was convicted of. OOO And all for a total profit of around $40,000.00.... BFD.
Spend the money on a real case... Like Worldcom, Enron, etc... get them bastards that stole BILLIONS of dollars from everyday people. Not on Martha the 2 bit crack hoe (and for you info... I don't like the b!tch so I'm not a fan and that's why I fell this way)
I dont like her but I damn sure dont feel like she is a threat to society in any way so have to agree a lot to do about nothing really. Like EC said tho I hope the fry those Enron people but not till they let some of us Californians get out hands on them
At least she didn't get away with it totally, wish it had be alot more though. I hope they put her in a REAL prison, not one of those "country club" style prisons.

I don't think it was a total waste of money, but her speech after the sentencing points out why she needed taking down.
she said "..took a minor personal matter....."
remember before was the 'gracious living' homemaker she was a stockbroker and ran several companies, so she knew what she was doing was illegal, she also lied at least twice to investigators. she should have receive the maximum sentence.
but the point is she still has the attitude that the little people shouldn't bother her and her elite group with either rules and laws, those are for the peasants.
It's the same attitude that caused enron, worldcom, etc. etc.
