Two dollars less than I paid. There is a firmware update out that supposedly converts this burner to a dual layer burner. I have flashed mine and it burns single layer disks just fine but no dual layer media is available so I dont know if the dual layer firmware works or not.
I have the 2500A and I bought it right before the 2510 came out, excellent drive. Like dadx2mj said, it's supposed to do dual layer with a firmware update.
The 2510 is around $80 now also if you don't want to take a chance on dual layer support. _________________ Due to a not-that-interesting turn of events, I am now known as Justin Danger.

From what I've read, you may not want to do the firmware flash.
Everyone I've seen stated that the drive does take it and that it shows duallayer burn ability, but wont burn any type of disc's anymore. ...will only read..
