Dud3 you and PMG crack me up

When Windows has a bug/security flaw/whatever we all go to Windows Update d/l the patch and maybe reboot and go on our way. And everyone complains like it is the end of the world

With Linux when there is a bug/security flaw/whatever they release a new kernel, and you guys spend the weekend "Re Compiling" you box and are happy for it

DISCLAIMER This is not meant to start an OS debate or flame war. It is only meant to be humorous. I am not knocking Linux, Dud3, or PMG in fact they have got me convinced I need to give Linux a try so I can share in the happiness

Actually, no, recompiling it all was my choice, not necessacery, I just like to be meticulus. When it comes to recompiling the kernel, it only takes me about 15 minutes, drop it in place, reboot, and Bob's your uncle. Any other piece of software can be recompiled, and I don't have to reboot.

Also, it's not like I lose all functionality of the system when I'm compiling, I'm still free to carry on doing whatever it was I was doing before.
