No cable tester and it appears as though all the wires are all the way in. The crossover cable is doing good and next step is wireless anyways.

I love wireless, it's so damn handy.

So do I.... cause it helps keep me employed by being so damn insecure! Grin

Drive through almost any neighborhood and you'll find clueless people.
The bad thing is they are not just exposing themselves, but making easy entry points for annonomous attacks on everyone.
It's almost temping to change their wallpapers to a message explaining their stupidity, but the next thing you know the FBI would be pounding on the door (or your head) and they probably still won't secure their computer.

do a little detective work and fiqure out there e-mail or address go to their house with your laptop show them and tell them all the bad things that could happen to them and the people around them. Offer to do a demostration to prove your not full of it. Then tell them you'll secure it for them for a charge. Bam insta cash. No law breaking either.

LOL I drove all over the town I live in and only found ONE other wireless network, and that was at the engineering office. Granted it's only got 3 employees.

DSL won't come out to the town we're in because Cable Modem access is only in 4% of the homes and 15% of the business's!

That's the nice thing about living in a small little "hick" town Smile And no crime, other than speeding. Know those towns where people talk about leaving their doors unlocked at night and when they go shopping? That's what my town is like.

My towns like that to but we do have drug problems around here. JimBowy as long as you don't try to access them when you find out their connection is open there is no case against you and most people wouldn't try to hurt someone who is trying to help them. If you got a decent lawyer when someone said something there is no way they are getting anywhere with their case. I know this for a fact.
