We’ve been hearing about AMD’s Radeon RX 5500 XT for a while now and it is finally here. With the success of their RX 5700 series of graphics cards it makes sense for AMD to release a lower-priced card to compete against NVIDIA’s entry-level offerings. AMD’s RX 5500 XT is based on the 7nm “Navi 14” silicon and features 22 RDNA Compute Units, 1408 Stream Processors, 88 TMUs, 32 ROPs, and a 128-bit wide GDDR6 memory interface. With this release AMD will hopefully phase out the ever-popular “Polaris” based RX 580 and RX 570 cards. thinkcomputers.org |
