“Z” as in the last letter of the alphabet. Does the Z in MSI’s GTX 1070 Gaming line up mean that it’s the last card in their line up and the last series you’ll need to buy? MSI thinks so. There are 2 letter designations in this round of releases from MSI; the Gaming X and Gaming Z. For the 1070 line up, the Gaming X boosts the GPU 114 MHz above the reference design and memory clock speeds 108MHz in OC mode where as the Gaming Z tacks on another 63MHz for the GPU. The GTX 1070 Gaming Z also features LED lighting and uses the latest revision of MSI’s TwinFrozr GPU cooling solution. modders-inc.com
