I think it should be McRedneck. Ghetto is a City type of thing and you seem more country to me. Not that it is a bad thing either way Grin

Uhh, no, I'm IN the country, I'm not country. Any countryness is because I'm surrounded by it.

Three years of TN will do bad things to someone like me...

ok after a closer look at it. I've decided the following..
Wait until PCI Express hits the market, wait until the ATi R420 or even 423 comes out. hopefully that will be by latest in october. And i will build a new pc then. Until now this 2.1 athlon and 8500 will have to suffice.

But Grin with my tax return whic i got in the mail i will pick up a home theatre in a box to go with my tv. Cant afford custom setup of seprate speakers receiver and dvd player, nor do i have the space.

So i'm lookin at one of these 3 things

http://www.jvc.ca/en/consumer/product-detail.asp?model=QP-ES7

http://www.jvc.ca/en/consumer/product-detail.asp?model=TH-M65

http://www.panasonic.ca/English/audiovideo/audio/hometheatre/scht900s.asp

so yeah.. thats that i'll end up buying one of these instead of a computer right now (besides this is something i can get reimbursed for by my parents Afro )

I think a good call on the PC.

For the other... I can't comment directly on those peices, however it's been my experince that JVC makes better audio than does Panasonic.

However if you can find it in Canada, and I'm not sure on the price... but check out something like this from Onkyo: http://www.onkyousa.com/model.cfm?m=LS-V500C&class=Systems&p=i

start saving Smile the only thing is that new hardware sometimes have bugs. like getting a chev avalanch,,real cool looking, expencive, and really squeeky. The molding arount it is very noisy.chev stopped with the molding around them now.

I replaced a big@ss kenwood surround with a sleek'n'sexy Panasonic SA-H700 and love it. Wave

crap,,, my spelling lol. better reinstall that spell check thingy Rolling Eyes

Wish I would have seen this article from Tom's Hardware Guide b4 I ordered this P4 2.8E Prescott chip!!

**Excerpt:"In our opinion, the debut of a processor based on a cutting-edge process technology and architecture that only offers the same performance level as the predecessor is unanticipated. Despite 1 MB L2 cache and some optimizations, Prescott is slower than Northwood in roughly a third of our benchmarks. Software, like many 3D shooters and more serious applications like Lame, MS Movie Maker 2, Mathematica, Cinema 4D or even 3DStudio perform worse than before. "**
