Hi bambam... welcome!

Not a stupid question, matching the USB pins to your motherboard can be a big pain... I know I have seen a few different arrangements, and they don't always seem to work the way they are called out.

Anyway... you should have at least one ground pin on the mobo header... right? I think I have seen those boards where you have one set of headers for the actual connections, and then right next to it is another set of headers where you can use jumpers to adjust the voltage on the USB header. Just make sure you are on the header with one row of 4 pins and one row of 5...

I hope I made sense... Confused

yeah, you made sense i'm on the header with 4/5 pins and the fifth
is labeled in the mobo book as nc and i have no clue as to what nc translates to .
I'm new at installing mobos if you cant tell Confused
all the usb lines have a 4 pin head that plugs in fine, but then an additional wire for ground and theres nowhere for it to go
so i guess my real question is if i don't use the ground wires
will i fry my mobo ? Mad

Hmm... I've now seen the header on your mobo, and it looks typical to me. What I'd like to see is a better pic of what the case provides. The review here doesn't show those connections well, and I don't see it on CasEdge's site. Can you post a pic?

Is it one solid connector, or loose connectors for each wire? I hate the solid ones, since the wires are sometimes in the wrong order and require you to pop them out and relocate the wires.

I have connected usb wires incorrectly a few times, and nothing bad has happened. Can't promise anythigng for you... but the worst I had was no usb and once no boot... until I connected the wires properly.

bad picks
but it is a solid plug and as you hopefully see
it has that extra ground even though the plug itself
has a ground on it

Dang, I'm the one that reviewed that case... sorry I didn't see this thread till now. I plugged it into my board without the ground and it worked fine. However, I am somewhat of a careless type Smile
