If it is only for backup and not being accessed all day, every day, SATA might be better than good. Especially if they are also mirrored.
But again, more info... I have been shown the light on the powers of SCSI when it comes to heavy duty usage, overall life expectancy, and reliability. |

I'm gonna use the ugly word...Dell
We have one of their NAS servers with 4-300GB SATA drives that we use to backup our 14 servers, then during the day we archive that to the tape library. The library is a dual tape SCSI setup and it takes 40+ hours to back up everything over 10/100. The NAS does it in a fraction of the time _________________
