At work we got a Proliant DL360 G1 from ebay for a windows update and backup server. It has 2x18GB scsi drives which will be mirrored and used for the OS, windows server 2003.
We need a few hundred GB for backup storage and are looking into every possiblity. SCSI gets expensive so we would like to stay away from that.
I was thinking of some external storage like NAS or eSata. Sata drives are really cheap and close enough to SCSI speeds.
Anyone out there have any experience with this type of setup?
I am open to suggestions and comments. |
