I actually can't even get to that point. When I go to copy, drag and drop, or "send to" Window says "problem copying file" and asks to re-try or cancel. I'm running Windows x64. I don't see what the problem is, I'm just trying to copy the documents folder and some other stuff too, but I tried the documents folder by itself and also some sub-folders of that. Everything comes up the same. Any ideas what this problem is?
thanks.

Ack... sorry I meant to test it last night on my system and forgot. Mean while, make sure you have all the latest Windows updates, including the optional software installs.

Will Windows 64 do native DVD burning?

I don't think XP does. I know it does CD's but DVD's is another matter all together. You may need to use Nero or another burning software for DVD support.

some other stuff too,

Any chance this is DRM releated?
I think even one failed/not permited file will cause the entire burn/copy to fail.
How about the file/folder permissions?

I don't know what DRM is. I'll try and look into file/folder permissions but I don't know too much about that either.
thanks.

Digital rights management=copyright protection
Sometimes it's a little overzealous, protecting files you own or should be allowed to backup

I used Nero Backitup and it worked fine. It's better than Windows Backup, IMO. When I tried to copy the individual files, no good, but this way a piece of cake. I thought you could copy to DVD just like you can on a cd, copy some files in and go, but apparently not....
