Have room for a heatpipe? Some of the recent ones we reviewed might fit the bill... The Gigabyte G-Power Pro, The Tuniq Tower, The Arctic Cooling Freezer. And of course, any of the big guns from Thermalright.

Out of all the ones I've used, I still like the Arctic Freezer 64 better than the others. It does a great job at cooling, very quiet, and is fairly small compared to others out there.

I used a ThermalTake SonicTower. If your case is of a good size, it almost doesn't need a fan. In fact, I ran for a week without a fan just find but my temps were at 51c. I added the 120mm fan and it dropped down to 34 at idle and 42 at max load with Prime95.

That looks like it will give the Tuniq Tower a run of for the money in terms of size! Yikes

I would say that although the Tuniq did better, the Gigabyte G-Power would be my choice if I were buying. More compact, more readily available, and easier to install.

Looks like a bit of organizing your wires would help your case temps too Razz

Yeah, I need to get one of those nice braiding kits or maybe some shower hose but when I went to Radio Shack, the guy at the counter looked at me as though my nose were suspended in midair when I asked for a molex remover tool so I won't be doing any mods on the cables til I can justify the $6 s/h charge on a $2 part. Maybe when I find a good local source for parts and tools like that.

Incidentally, my temps are pretty low with the exception of my nF4 chip. I need to mod it and add an Iceberg VGA cooler or something similar. My CPU manages to average around 40c during regular use and, as I said above, I've never seen it go above 42 unless I turn off/down the fan. I run it all at max though cause I'm paranoid. Wave

I'm also looking in to removing the mesh from the side panels and replacing it with acrylic and adding a black light in the bottom. The case actually has a special mount point for a CCFL tube. Laughing Also, the front panel has space for 2 more fans on the controller. I've no idea where to put two more fans, especially since I had to remove one from the PCI door to allow the Sonic Tower to fit, though I was able to use the same connector again with the 120mm fan for the tower. Smile

I'd love to get EvilCheese down to ooh and ahh over it since very few people in my area are geeky enough to appreciate the awesome power of my rig.

Sure, tell me where you live, and what hours you are at work.

That does not engender me to want you to visit, cheese. It fact, it makes me want to build an electric fence around my house. Laughing Send me a PM if you're in the Denver area some time for lunch.
