we just had a problem on our forums and im total noob lately on coding

i need to know how to change the icon for a new posts thread...

before it used to be a different color like it is in here for new posts but now theyre all the same color... is there a simple way to fix it w/o going into the billions of lines of code?? lol... or... does someone wanna do it for me if i gave them access hehe.... a bunch of the members are getting frustrated and were all coding noobs over there....

any help is greatly appreciated

Hey...nice site btw...

Anyway...If you want to change the image for the POST button, all you have to do is change the post.gif file to what ever you want. The file is located in templates/subSilver/images/ if you are using the subsilver template. At least it looks like that is where your modifications have been done.

Give that a try...

now are we talking in the coding itself from our web host or directly through the forum?? either way i cant find it lol

under the forum i go into the theme and theres no where in there to see the actual image or upload anything i see the image "value" but no icon or anything "cellpic1.gif" and so on is what it is

should it be in the phpadmin area?? i have databases in there... in one database i can see the forums stuff like private messages and the theme and such

Your in the forum database, I think you need to look in the coding. php and tpl files in the /forum/template/subsilver folder (if that is your template). I'd have to look to see what files call out those parts of the page, but dig around a bit...
