Every year around this time all these huge black crickets appear around my house, and some come in. They get bold, charging me across the living room once... jumping up on my leg another time. And whenever I open the garage door, a dozen or more scatter to hide.

Well, one is in here now. I have heard it for a few hours, but can't find it. He went silent now... He must be in stealth mode waiting until I lay down for bed to attack. If I don't check back in tomorrow, you know why... asphyxiation by insect.

I have a phobia of bugs in my house. Don't bother me outside, just don't want them in my house! I tend to spray all the way around my house every month while they're out there. Gets most of them, but occassionally one sneaks in, and it drives me up the wall.

Thankfully I have two cats that don't like them in the house either (that or they think they are play toys), and attack them relentlessly....

I don't like any bugs in the house either, but I have almost gotten used to spider's in the basement. But when these crickets come around every year I am not so relaxed. They can scare you when you're not expecting them... like in the dark with no shoes on and you see something running at you across the room.

If I catch one, or see one in the open, I'll take a picture. They're like 2+ inches long, jet black, and fast... Laughing
