I'm getting ready to jump over to vista, Sad and a new pc. However I do not have the time or enough skills to build a new system. I also do not want to mess with box stores system anymore.. I been looking at having dell or gateway prebuild a system for me with the higher end hardware then what you get with the box stores. Question is,Is there any other companies that can prebuild a system other then dell or gateway? Using the customize a system

I have to wonder why?

I was in the market for a new system a few months ago and considered buying a pre built custom system and did some looking around. The end result was I built my own again and have to tell you I feel for you. There are companies out there that will build you a nice system like Alienware and Dell but they dont come cheap.

A Dell? Yikes

(just kidding, I was considering a Dell... too cheap to compete with for basic systems).

Why im getting ready to take the plunge to vista? is cause everyone going to have to sooner or later, so might as well pull the pants down and well you know rest,

Just like Alienware is now Dell... Voodoo is now HP. HP is supposedly the new top dog for pre-builts, so maybe they should make the list... But the last few I bought there (2 years ago) were a customer service pain in the butt).

I wouldn't deal with HP unless I had too. As Doc say, Dell & Alienware = Same. Gateway has always been cr@p as far as I've seen.

I've heard good things about the Falcon Northwest but again.. big $$$.

If you have any local computer stores, try finding them. They can build you a custom system, a lot cheaper than any of the majors can.
