some might know but I'm HUGE into fps games online... im in the top ranks for a couple different games ...theres a tech on our squad that does some mods for us (no not hacks ya donks) but he adjusted my sound so its much better now, however we were comparing footsteps/ things in the distance and i can only hear about half of what they can for the finer details... im running onboard right now so im looking for something....
im looking to budget like 100ish for one.... right now im looking at Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum eX Audio Card its on ebay from creative labs for like 70 brand new so im thinking that but what tother options are there?? suggiestions plz hehe _________________

I think Creative make the best cards for gaming, but I'm partial to Turtle Beach sound cards which are more geared for a music/entertainment room atmosphere, but always performed great in games, and low cost (all under $100). I have the no longer manufactured Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. Cost $50 and lasted me 5 years of awesome audio on my old, but retired it for the onboard sound on this bad girl (although just not the same...).

That's a good card from what I've read. I use on board sound when I actualy turn on the sound.
Although been thinking about picking up a good sound card, just hard to justify it when I have 8 channel on board already |
