OK is anyone else experiencing this? Every since I went to Firefox 1.5 it has totally taken over my system If I try to go to Windows Update a blank IE window opens and I cant do anything in it at all. A second window opens in Firefox and I get a message saying I need IE 5 or higher. If I open IE directly from the Quick Launch bar it opens to the home page but any link, short cut, or URL typed into the address bar opens in FireFox. I also tried going to "Set Program Access and Defaults" in the start menu and TRIED to make IE my default browser and at same time unchecked the "Check to see if FireFox is default browser" in FireFox and Firefox is still taking over. Only way I was able to get to Windows updates was to make it my home page in IE. So basically I get one click in IE and anything after that goes to Firefox. Not really a huge issue as the only thing I use IE for now is Windows Update but I thought it was kinda funny. Anyone else have this happening or am I the only lucky one?
BWHAHAH ownt...i have used firefox since its .4 firebird days but i have since switched to opera due to the ammount of traffic now using firefox...ads are penetrating it and i like being above everyone else ...consider opera...i use it and I will never look back... _________________ Ignore this^^
dude ive been opera user for years. Though i feel by default it feels to bloated. To however go to custimize menues and uncheck about everything then instal the sofa king skin and it feels right _________________ I am lord Moloch. That of your titan. Now bow before me you mere mortal.

Dad... Try doing this:
1) Start -> All Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults
2) Click on Custom
3) Make sure both FF & IE a check next to "Enable Access to this Program"
4) Choose IE as you default browser.
5) Click OK.
6) Run Windows Update
You can now try going back to FF as the default and seeing if it works fine. If not you might have to toggle back and forth as needed manually.
Did that EC but still doing same thing ....I dont mind it as I have it now just set the Windows Update as my home page in IE and have my normal home page set in FF. Just thought it was funny and wondered if anyone else was seeing this or if it is just my system.
