I skipped the RCA and Creative (although the new creative looks ok). I really liked my Archos AV320, wish it hadn't died on me (1.5 years of 10 hours of use a day during week, more on weekend).

I'm thinking of getting the AV700 soon..

That would technically mean you want to spend more than 400 Wink

As for what you decide to get, I've always had a good experience with Creative, and I'd recommend them to anyone. I've gotta believe the abuse I've given my Creative Zen Nomad would kill most other mp3 players, but other than physical scratches, the mp3 player is flawless.

AV Price > $400 is what you're saying

What you want is...

AV Price < $400

Check out the new Creative AV player, the Vision.

The Zen isn't a bad player, just depends on what you want it for.

For my use, I want to put 1,000 music video's on it, and while I'm at work, have it shuffle through them and play them one after another. The Zen doesn't do that. It will play one, then stop and go back to the play list.

Other than that, it wasn't a bad player.

what i need it mainly for.... im mainly using it for mp3s so i was going to get a 20gb color ipod.... so i started looking around and came across the av players and started thinking i could put movies and such on those when i travel and play it on the screens in my vehicle.... so its mainly mp3 however i am going to put dvds on it, prevailing its possible.

I would recommend Creative Labs then. For my use, where I wanted it to auto-advance the video's it doesn't do it. But for MP3 and watching movie's it is good at it.
