I think I jinxed my PS3 F@H. It hasn't been updating right. There was a new patch that I installed earlier this week (that was supposed to fix the updating right), but I have completed two WUs and still am showed as inactive on our team page.

I;m folding considerably less on my PS3 than I was before. They must be giving me more complex stuff....
I think I've only got about a dozen WU since I updated on Monday _________________

Yeah, and you are the man responsible for about 1 million of them!
We need more people to chip in. I know there are tons of cycles going to waste that could be Folding away... |

Ok...ok...I'll turn my PS3 into a folding machine for a bit Wish that it could fold in the background when I'm watching a movie though... |

I'd have a couple of Macs running if the client wasn't so buggy _________________

You can definitely tell they don't extend a lot of effort towards the clients, especially the Mac. It is kind of annoying to me that the beta Win SMP client expires every month or two. You would think that for something that gives them as much data as folding@home does, they would enlist the help of some computer programming doctorate students and get a full featured client, complete with auto updates, scheduling (ie, run at xx time for yyy minutes), gui configuration and all the other various niceties that we've become accustomed to in quality software.
I guess it's to be expected though, they are all focused on the results and not what it could be if they made the client easier to configure and install.
Still good science though, so I try to keep it running as much as possible. _________________

OK, I figure it's time to take BB.com into the top 500 teams. I've got two q6600's with associated psu's and mobo's (P31's) on the way. When they get here I will be putting them to work folding.
I was originally supposed to get one for myself and one for a friend of mine who wanted a quad system. Long story short, he changed his mind and now I've got two of them on the way and have decided to just keep them. . At least for awhile. Can't think of a better use for them than to run folding@home. If they prove stable I may just replace my kids system and my test system with quads and unload those to recoup some of the cost. _________________

8 more cores of folding goodness I've got the start of my new folding farm up and running. each of the 2 nodes is a q6600 with a Gigabyte P31 mobo and 1gb of ram. Both are booting off usb thumb drives loaded with NotFreds Custom USB Folding Stick. I've still got a couple things I want to do to the rack, but it's up and running with 2 q6600's one at stock and one at 7x400 (testing for stability) Here's a couple quick pics.
