You can definitely tell they don't extend a lot of effort towards the clients, especially the Mac. It is kind of annoying to me that the beta Win SMP client expires every month or two. You would think that for something that gives them as much data as folding@home does, they would enlist the help of some computer programming doctorate students and get a full featured client, complete with auto updates, scheduling (ie, run at xx time for yyy minutes), gui configuration and all the other various niceties that we've become accustomed to in quality software.

I guess it's to be expected though, they are all focused on the results and not what it could be if they made the client easier to configure and install.

Still good science though, so I try to keep it running as much as possible.
