Since I built a new computer a couple of years ago, I've had problems with it.
I've tried almost every possible option, but I haven't tried using another motherboard, so I'm considering buying a new one. What socket A motherboards would you recommend?
Help appreciated!

I am with the Evil Dr on that one. I am using one now and it has been pretty fast, stable, and has everything I need and then some.

Aopen has always been "ok" to me. Nothing special, nothing horrible

Ok. Thank you for sharing your knowledge Smile
I will also try another graphics card to see if that might be causing it.
It just keeps restarting, and it's incredibly annoying, to put it mildly Bang Head
Do you guys have any ideas to what might be causing this?

I had an AOpen AK-77... that was a long time ago, but I do remember liking it. It was solid, ahd some overclocking, and if I remember right it was black and silver, which looked kinda cool...

Yeah, the board looks cool, but it's been giving me grief since I bought it.. But then again, there might be other reasons for the lack of stability.

What exactly are the problems? And what are your other components in this system?

Aopen AK-77 8X MAX
Athlon XP 2000
1 GB pc266 (2*512)
Asus Geforce 4 128Mb
IBM Deskstar 185 Gb

The screen goes blank and the computer reboots without any warning
Cpu temp is fine, and all drivers are up to date.
