Hello,

Recently I purchased a MiniView Micro USB PLUS KVM switch from Iogear.

http://www.iogear.com/main.php?loc=product&Item=GCS632U

When I first hooked it up it worked beautifully. However, just yesterday I went to type something on the keyboard and it wasn't responding. I tried unplugging and replugging the USB cables but it didn't help.

The small manual that came with the unit essentially said if your run into problems just head on over to support at the Iogear site, which I'm finding to be useless.

I've been able to get one nugget of info -- if the port does not respond you can try to "power cycle" the unit. Confused Bang Head

So, what does that mean?

Any other suggestions?

thanks

Power Cycling usually refers to removing the power cable for 15-20 seconds, then plugging it back in.

Power everything off and disconnect all power. I get the same problem with a cheap KVM and sadly I have to remove power entirely to get it to work again. Only happens once every 6 months so its not a big hassle

I hate this thing. It worked fine the first few weeks I had it, and now it seems I'm constantly having to remove the power to get it to work -- like 2-3 times a day.

Can anyone recommend a quality KVM switch that doesn't cost a fortune?
