I just purchased a fan controller for my rig, needed to quiet down the 92mm tornado since it's 3 feet from my bed. Anyway I opened the box today, hooked up the wires for the tornado and my front fan. Despite the fact it's the 3.5" version it works. But I can hear variations once in awhile where the fan will slow down or speed up a noticeable diffrence then go back to normal. Is this a common problem with fan controllers?

Hum I noticed that with a fan controller I had my big Delta fan hooked to. I noticed it on a Monday and on Tuesday the fan controller took a dive. That Tornado MAY be too much for the controller.

If the fan has a built in heat sensor, I would imagine that would over-ride the fan controller. I have several fans that do that as well, but when I hook up a fan that does not include the automatic thermal sensors it doesn't do that.

I don't think the fan is to much for the controller. The controller is rated at 18w per channel and up to 1.5A the tornado is 12.5w and 1.0A. I haven't noticed it since I installed it. Maybe it was a breaking in period Confused
