suggestion: subscribe to a forum

in forums like IPS there is an option to subscribe to a forum, and get an email when a new thread is posted (you only get an email about the first new thread)

is it possible with phpBB
can be very useful

Sounds reasonable to me... I'll see if/when I can get that one included!

I don't even use the existing subcribe to thread feature personally, but do others think they'd use the subscribe to forum function, if installed?

I check the forum more often than I do my email so I probably would not but that is just me. Others may use it so go for it.

i don't use the subscribe to thread feature either, but the subscribe to a forum is much more useful for people who don't crawl the forum all day but wants a good response time for new threads

I've never used that. Like dadx2mj said, I check this more than my e-mail. E-mail is something I rarely use.....
