The Wi-Fi feature of the GoFlex Satellite is a great idea whose time has finally come. It was easy to connect to via either the web browser based interface or the App available from Apple's App Store. Sharing files with an Apple iPad is straightforward and is an easy way to expand the capacity to make sure all of your movies, music, and other files are accessible.

I just wanted to add a few things about this product.  I bought this drive from Amazon.  I like the concept of this device but in the end I was a little disappointed.  They advertised it as a “Wireless Storage” device.  I don’t see this as a ”Wireless Storage” device because I can’t transfer anything from my ipad to the device itself.   It works with only computers, but not tablets. It’s more of a streaming device if you are using a tablet.

Hi - to me the term wireless storage fits perfectly. Considering there is no room to expand beyond the capacity of what you buy from Apple - you can get stuck without all your files. I have a 64GB iPod Touch, and it is nearly full. Any more movies and my wireless storage solution (a Wi-Drive) is mandatory. Sure, you can't write to these devices from the iProducts, but I would put that issue on Apple and not Seagate.
