No DNS - Windows 2000

My dad can get a dial-up connection, ping an IP (mine or otherwise), but can't do anything that requires resolving a domain name. No e-mail, no web, no FTP or anything.

We went through the settings and I think everything is how it should be, but I'm tired and I haven't worked with windows in a while. Any suggestions and things he can check tomorrow?

Go do a command prompt and type: 'ipcnfig /all" and see what that says. Will tell you if his machine's been given a list of DNS servers.

It has. That was one of the first thing's he checked. The dial-up connection works fine on another computer.
