I will admit that I have never given any Windows gadget a chance - but this one seems pretty useful to me and I have it on all my Windows 7 machines now...

All CPU Meter

Great for verifying that Folding is running properly - among other things. Shows each core's current activity, historical activity, and memory usage.

I have never been a fan of widgets but in the case of folding I can understand why it may be useful. For my every day use though they just aren't that impressive. I can fire up an application instead since I don't need real time info all the time.

I think it stems from running Vista and 7 on an older system to start with where resources were at a premium.

For some reason an older version also shows core temps if you are running Speed Fan, too. I may try that one now that I've seen it.
