I have only done fresh installs... About two weeks ago I tried doing some upgrades from XP (Home) and Vista (Home Premium), but I had 7 Pro which apparently isn't on the approved path... Laughing

I did 'downgrade' two machines from Ultimate RC to Pro RTM. Regardless of version, things have been working out just fine for me.

I'm doing a 'downgrade' Vista Ultimate to Win7 Pro so it's reassuring to hear that you have had no problems with that. Also been seeing around that DigitalRiver's student discount package can actually do a clean install although it was labelled as an "upgrade" version, will probably just do that if thats the case.

Well... It was a fresh install there, too... All fresh installs for me. It did not want to downgrade!

Hmm, seems like I have to do a fresh install now D: Guess it'll work better in the long run.

i love 7, it's great... much MUCH better than vista, and for me better than xp as well. MS did a pretty good job with this one.

I love Windows 7 except for the network sharing.

I can't seem to get it to work outside of the Public folders. It was so easy in Vista. Homegroup password is corret and everything but I keep on getting "this computer cannot be homegrouped" or something like that.

Crow, what are you using? Home Premium? If so we have had a hellish time getting it to work properly outside of anything other than My Documents or whatever the Windows 7 version of that is.
