If I used the beta versions, it will stop working when beta ends, like it won't be able to boot?

MS will followup with a Release Candidate so I'm thinking there won't be disruption, just as when I tried Vista betas before Smile

Im using it on an old laptop of mine and it seems to work quite well, few bugs but im pretty sure they are all hardware related rather than software because the laptop is really bad spec Sad. Gonna get newest build for when i get new pc later on this year i think. Anyone got any ideas when itl be out??

Anyone bother running a couple of games and giving us FPS ratings vs. Vista? Grin
Really interested in what performance is like.

Running both 64bit and 32bit on two machines, so far I love it. No major issues and it's just a nicer feeling OS compared to Vista.

Running the RC right now and its a nice update to Vista. Overall applications and interface seem more responsive. Only two bugs I've run into relate to an attempted upgrade of my Vista install (bad idea...some driver borked it completely. Black screen after final reboot) and a weird problem with Media center and my 360 acting as an extender. For whatever reason I had to re-add my libraries to the 360 version even though the libraries already existed to play my music and movies. Not a show stopper but still weird.

Also, Daemon tools 4.30.4.0027 seems to work fine under the release candidate.

like others have said, some versions of Daemon tools fail to install correctly in Win7

other than that, I've had absolutely no problems with it at all, been using the RC since release on my home machine for gaming and it's working great!

Win7 64bit

@street -- is there a particular Daemon version that works with Win7?

They released a beta last week that is Win7 compatible. I downloaded the Lite version and it's working fine. It's version 4.30.3.0027 using SPTD 1.58.
