I was thinking the exact same thing. Well actually I was thinking it would suck to be the pilots (both lived). Can you imagine the depth of investigation crashing a $1.2billion airplane will spawn?

Oh well, the Chinese are paying for it anyway. Grin

Lets hope the never wise up and start asking for their money back. Grin

Bird in the intakes, maybe? Seriously would not be surprised. I saw a video of a bird in the intake of an F-16 that brought that down. And I saw it happen in person just a few weeks ago at my local airport, unfortunately it was a light twin and the guy didn't have ejection seats.

WOW! That is the SUCK! At least the pilots are ok, cause personally I think personal are worth more than the 1.2billion aircraft.

The pilots are definitely more important than the plane, but you can bet that someone is going to have a lot of questions for them. As well as the maintenance crew and people involved in the bird abatement operations in the runway.

At least the pilots lived so they now have a better chance to figure out what actually happened and can take measures to avoid it next time.

1.2 billion flush away. That is a ton of money imagine the things you can buy with that amount of money.hmmmmmmmm.
