Please help me,Give me something good about comcast and there service?.Td this day i have not read or heard anything good with this company

As of now i have 10MB down and 2MB up for 45$ per month,From all the talk i been hearing, Comcast is going to give us 6MB down, not sure on up for 52.95 per month,Now to the TV side,We have 65 tv channels now(basic package)From what i been hearing we be down to around 50 channels and pay about 5$ more for less channels. We pay all together now 95.00 or so for our cable,Next month I have to pay around 110 for less download speed and fewer channels. I have already bend over and assumed the position but it really pissed me off. ok rant over

Yeah... they were kind enough to pay twice the value for two of my old cable tv systems.

Well, it could be Cablevision! Laughing

Service isn't bad - but you want a fleecing? My bill for the same services just keeps climbing... $145/month now! Bang Head

Sure, 30/5 Internet service is still well priced at $54.95... But, the TV and phone are with them too.

TV goes up like $3 every 6 months, and the phone just went up $5 even though the deal was that the price was fixed at the initial rate for as long as I kept the service! Bang Head

They offer a "Triple Play" that is supposed to cost just under $90. I have the $10 extra for the speed boost, and $15 for HD service with box rental... $115 seems like it should be the total, but I pay $30 more because I am not a new customer.

I'm paying $55 for my internet access, and it is 8down and 512up. Really sucks sometimes....Could be a little cheaper IF I had Cable TV, but I have Satellite, so they charge me a premium because I don't have a bundle Razz

I think I'm paying over $50 a month for 1.5mbps down/1mbps up on Qwest DSL. However I do have static IP's and can host what ever (legal) stuff I want.

yep, they tend to screw existing customers and reward new ones. You could always call to 'cancel' your service and say you are going somewhere else...thats usually when they throw a new deal at you. Happened to my neighbor, he called when his bill went up for Dish, they basically said tuff luck. Then he called back when he was switching over to cable, then they offered him some great packages. He said f off and cancelled anyhow lol.

I don't have Comcast for internet, and in fact had Adelphia before Comcast bought them out...switched to Brighthouse before Comcast even came about Smile

I'm a reasonably satisfied comcast customer.
since I bought this house 18 years ago, I've had
dial-up (300, 14k, 28k, 56k)
satellite (dial return, and 2 way)
DSL (768/386, 1.5/386, 3Mb/768)
and Cable (was att 3m/512) Comcast took over totally recabled the area speeds started at 4/386, and have gone up several times with NO Price increase on the HSI bill (8/768-$52/month), or my limited basic cable.
actually speeds with power boost reach 30Mbps/1.5Mbps most of the time, sustained downloads around 12-14 Mbps.
satisfaction varies greatly depending on your area, speeds are rarely lowered after new system purchases IF the area was working properly at the higher speeds.
