The Flash Padlock 2GB USB Drive performed as advertised, and as Corsair confirmed it is "not an enterprise secure device", but I have to question why a home user should expect to pay more for security features, and in the end only get marginally better security than could be available on a more typical USB flash drive? - The Review

Unlike other password-protected security solutions, Padlock is a truly portable security device that does not require password protection software installation. It can work anywhere with all Operating Systems that support the standard USB Mass Storage drivers. That's its greatest strength!!

For customers who value the ease of use security, easy access and portability then it's worth a couple extra bucks.

Hi Dan - Thanks for responding. I think Corsair has a great idea on their hands, they just need some tweaking.

If you'd like my opinion on how to improve the padlock, I'd be willing to offer it. With a few changes the padlock could become a great device. Because like you said it can be used on any OS that will work with a USB drive.

I agree with EC, the padlock is a great idea. Probably the only feature I'd like to see included is some form of encryption, while still keeping it OS independent, and free of any software installation.
