Other than it being a Compaq/HP, not bad for a basic system, upgrade the RAM to 1 or 2 GB and you'd have a nice little home box.

Add $100 for 2GB of RAM and another $100 for a decent video card (come on.. on-board video? I hate that)

$400 for a usable system.

I don't disagree with the on-board video, but for some it's more than enough. Like my father, he has no need for anything other than on-board video Razz Surfing the internet, family photos, emails, etc doesn't need much.

Yeah - like the system I am making just to get my in-laws access to their digital camera.

I am spending time and what not building something that is pretty out dated. I may be doing it for next to nothing due to trades, but it probably works out to be more money and time than just buying this...

PIII 1.13GHz versus Celeron 3.46GHz... Hmmmm... Laughing
