This was in the context of a newsletter a co-worker got from a customer.
Take a look at http://www.rohsdirective.com...it doesn't seem like the right page but I haven't found out what else it would be.
Quote: | RoHS ((Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive: In February 2003 the European Union released the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (2002/95/EC). This directive restricts the use of Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium and PBB/PBDE flame retardant materials in electrical and electronic products sold in Europe beginning July 1, 2006. Suppliers must provide evidence that their products comply with this directive. The basis of this requirement can be further reviewed at: http://www.rohsdirective.com/, and the specific directive (Waste electrical and electronic equipment or WEEE) at: http://www.dti.gov.uk/sustainability/pdfs/finalrohs.pdf |
