Im running on windows xp home and everytime i click on my user name before i type in my password it says that i have nine unread mail messages. but i check out look and my mail programs and i don not have any mail. so is there anyway to remove that or why are these nine messages at?

I think it lists all unread mail from Outlook and Outlook Express. Maybe you have some old mail marked as unread? Perhaps just do a "EDIT -> MARK ALL READ"

Mine says I have a 1000+ new messages, but I don't. Just that many I never actually read.

That probalby also includes email that you deleted without reading, or possibly has been moved to the Junk Mail (if you have that).
