I was talking to Murdock[NJLP] the other day and he mentioned trying IE7 on one of his computers and that it got hosed, too... At least I'm not alone in that!

What a major piece of s#!7 this is!
I downloaded Internet Explorer 7 on a back up machine (luckily) and all went to hell. I did the reboot they required and the system would not restart. Crashed before entering Windows. I finally get it into Windows and it says Windows Firewall and my antivirus programs can not run... I reboot again and now the "recovered from a serious error" message keeps popping up... you click "don't send" and it comes right back up! On top of that, my network connection is now bad, as it says the cable is disconnected.
Good God why did I try this?!?!
I am installing ie7 to test on a virtual server, when installing I noticed this and thought of you...
Also note it even says backup important files...even MS doesn't show confidence in the install.

I allowed IE 7 on to my laptop and the install worked here... The main benefit I see is trivial... transparent PNG files. acruxksa's avatar always had a white background in IE before, and was only transparent in FireFox... Now it looks right in IE, too...
