have a question on case fan

May sound dumb,

I removed the back case fan today and cleaned it, It was dirty, and now it seems that the is not as much air coming out of the back as before,so my question is could i have put the fan back on backwards?
It used to blow out good amount of air but now it doesnt seem to be.

There is an intake and an exhaust side of the fan. Feel the inside of the computer at the fan while it's on. See if there's more air on the inside thanthe outside.

Also, on the outside of the fan housing, there are USUALLY arrows that point the direction of airflow and blade turns.
